In a senior-care, rehabilitation and assisted living industry marked by static programs, sterile facilities and age oriented care, The Veranda provides and manages a Multi-Care environment for a new kind of adult client. The Veranda will offer rehabilitation to home services as well as long term care. Accepting Medicare, Private Pay and Insurance.

Our Rapid Recovery Unit is designed to provide comprehensive inpatient care and treatment for those who have an acute illness, injury or exacerbation of a disease, and who have a prognosis of recovering to a level that would warrant discharge home or to a less-needed-level of services.

Physical Rehabilitation

Many illnesses, disorders and injuries can be helped by utilizing therapy. Therapy, whether it is occupational, speech or physical helps individuals improve their quality of life. Some injuries or illnesses require only a short duration of therapy to expedite the recovery process. Other, more traumatic injuries or illnesses may require more extensive therapy in order for the patient to be functional with normal activities of daily life.

Our caring, specialized therapists are educated in a variety of modalities (heat, cold, ultrasound, diathermy, electrical stimulation and monochromatic infrared energy; Anodyne). Our speech therapy department offers individualized treatment and interventions for our patients. Each of our staff members strives for patients to be more educated, stronger and more functional than before they began therapy.

Wound Management

The wound care program has had documented and continued success in treating the following types of wounds:

  • Stage III and IV Wounds
